Glass lenses are the most scratch resistant lens material in the world.
Glass lenses provide the most stable and permanent tints of any lens material.
Glass lenses have a natural resistance to distortion and corrosion. They provide the best visual accruity of any lens material.
Otis glass lenses are thermally hardened which is a process that further enhances the natural toughness of glass.
Otis uses only the highest quality Italian acetates for handmade frames, whilst our injection moulded frames are made from Grilamid - a highly resilient, flexible and lightweight nylon blend from Switzerland.
Otis frames are ergonomically designed and anatomically correct. Lens angles and temple curvature are fine tuned to ensure an optimum fit.
Otis lenses are made from Pilkington Ophthalmic grade borosilicate glass which is a hybrid material half the weight and twice the strength of standard crown glass. This makes it the perfect lens material.
