ABOUT BASE CURVE

Base curve is the measure of the general shape of a lens. The lens base simply refers to the base curve or the front curve of the lens measured in “dioptres”.

6 BASE OR 8 BASE: WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

The 8 base lenses have a more curved frame while still providing distortion free vision. 6 base lenses are generally flatter across the front.
