TR90 Grilamid Frame

High Performance = Low weight. TR90’s highperformance property profi le combined with its very good processability makes this material an attractive and precious optical engineering plastic. The transparency, rigidity and impact strength of Grilamid TR products compare favourably to those of other traditional transparent polymers. One major feature of Grilamid TR 90 is its low specifi c density, up to 20% lower than that of polycarbonate. It is the lightest engineering plastic in existence. This low weight characteristic contributes toward ease of handling and also to wearer comfort.

Acetate Frame

All OTIS handmade frames are produced from sheetsof Mazzucchelli acetate, the best cellulose acetateavailable. Acetate is a high quality plastic originating fromthe renewable resources of wood pulp and natural cottonfi bres. It has become the standard raw material used tobuild high fashion and long lasting optics. Acetate retainsits colour brightness impeccably over time because itshue is embedded in the material rather than sprayed onwhich also prevents any colour peeling. Unique agingstabilizers in acetate also prevent fading, yellowing orother discolouration from UV light or skin contact.
